Legal Update Minimum Wage 2026
The Council of State provisionally suspended Decree 1469 of 2025, which set the minimum wage for 2026 with a 23% increase.
This decision is a precautionary measure, not a final ruling. While the annulment process is being resolved, the increase cannot be applied under the terms initially envisaged, and the government must issue a temporary administrative act.

- It is prudent to maintain accounting provisions in case of possible subsequent adjustments.
- It is recommended to review contracts and obligations indexed to the minimum wage.
